Hero icons
Hero icons are designed to clearly explain the benefit and utility of a product or feature. They are used when product functionalities are the focus of the whole communication. There are no guidelines for Hero icon creation. They are highly tailored to specific concepts. Please reach out to brand-studio with a general project request if you’d like to create Hero iconography.
UI icons and customer files
A UI icon can be paired with a customer file to tell an implicit story about functionality. The icon should appear on a perfect circle background that uses the same accent color as elsewhere in the communication.
These icons can be used to support announcements or communications, but they aren’t clickable.
UI icon: upload a file
UI icon: add media
UI icon: lock, security
When the customer file appears on an accent-color background, the color of the icon circle is Graphite.
When the customer file appears on a Graphite background, the color of the icon circle is the same as the accent color used in the module.
Including a file name and narrative element is a good way to communicate a feature. Text should be Atlas Grotesk Regular.
Dont's
Don’t use a UI icon in a circular background by itself. It should always be paired with a customer file.
Don’t use an additional accent color for the circular background.
Don’t use an icon that doesn’t communicate a feature.
Content Icons
Content icons appear when a Dropbox link is shared.
