One font style in a plane
When using a single font style in a plane, always center the text.

In marketing, headlines are primarily centered
But there are a few exceptions when they should be left-aligned
When combining font styles within a plane.
When a headline appears with a button in a plane.
When the headline plane is extremely rectangular.
Finding the right size for headlines
Centered headlines
Select the plane where the headline will be positioned. Scale down the plane to 70% of its original size. Center the headline within the smaller area, as demonstrated below.
Headlines shorter than eight characters
If a headline (whether it’s a sentence or a single word) is shorter than eight characters, the margins should be equal to half (50%) of the plane.
Left-aligned headlines
For left-aligned headlines that share the plane with other elements, the margins should be equal to half (50%) of the width of the tab.
For left-aligned headlines in extreme rectangular orientations (~1:3 and over), the margins should be equal to a third (33%) of the width of the tab.
Description text
Planes with text in Atlas Grotesk should have the same margins as centered headlines (70% active area). The text size should be a third (33%) of the headline size.
For example, if the headline is 90px, the description text should be 30px.
